About The Position

Element has an opportunity for a Snubber Technician II in our Huntsville, AL lab. In this role, you will be responsible for performing tests and/or measurement tasks for the Nuclear Snubber department. Nuclear Snubber: Testing and rebuilding of snubber devices at nuclear power plants during outages. Please note, this is a casual role with irregular working hours and is expected to travel up to 100% of the time. Salary: $26- $38/hr DOE Responsibilities Removal and Reinstallation - Removes and reinstalls snubbers Perform Testing - Performs qualification, acceptance testing and RND testing for nuclear customers Maintenance - Maintains and rebuilds snubbers Under close supervision, able to complete basic technical and mechanical procedures including basic testing and maintenance on snubbers Some interaction with clients Able to assist with basic troubleshooting and basic interpretation and analysis of test results Basic knowledge of Nuclear testing principles and basic safety practices; Basic understanding in developing processes and procedures, test reports for qualification and acceptance testing. Knowledge of Microsoft products Basic knowledge of Nuclear testing principles and basic safety practices; Basic understanding in developing processes and procedures, test reports for qualification and acceptance testing. Knowledge of Microsoft products Other - Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • HS Diploma or GED.
  • 0-3 Years of Experience
  • Mechanically inclined Individuals

Nice To Haves

  • Technical Certification, AA or AS degree preferred
