About The Position

In this role you will provide analytical support to the North America Clean Air Finance Organization, reporting to the Commercial Finance Director. Perform ad-hoc analysis; prepare monthly/quarterly internal/external reporting packages, consolidate financial reporting, support financial systems updated/maintenance. Must have the ability to perform accurate, timely financial analysis and provide recommendations. Contribute to the strategic and annual operating plans.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in finance or accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment

Responsibilities

  • Support Clean Air month-end close process by reviewing financial data, perform analysis and preparing journal entries.
  • Support Corporate Data Request for America Region IceCo
  • Ensure financial reports accurately reflect financial performance in accordance with GAAP and Tenneco’s policies.
  • Work with commercial group to establish customer profitability and sales reviews
  • Manage fixed asset capitalizations, order creation/maintenance and depreciation.
  • Coordinate with warranty team to understand month-end impacts and establish accruals, as necessary.
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis and special projects as requested by leadership team.
  • Support the business planning processes (strategic plan, annual operating plan and monthly forecasts).
  • Engages with BU leaders, plant controller, commercial group and finance team in all aspects of financial and operations reporting.
  • Actively participate in the implementation of financial systems, tools, procedure/policies.
  • Review Balance Sheet, prepare reconciliations, and ensure internal audit processes and controls are operating effectively.
