About The Position
As a Snowsports School Ski or Snowboard Instructor at Mount Southington Ski Area, you will play a vital role in teaching skiing or snowboarding to individuals of various skill levels, particularly focusing on children. This position requires a passion for snowsports and a commitment to providing a safe and enjoyable learning environment. Instructors will be responsible for developing lesson plans tailored to the needs of each student, ensuring that they not only learn the necessary skills but also have fun while doing so. In addition to teaching, instructors will need to be adaptable, as they may work with different age groups and skill levels throughout the day. Patience and excellent communication skills are essential, as you will be interacting with students and their families, addressing any concerns, and ensuring a high level of customer service. The position may require working in varying weather conditions, and instructors should be prepared for the physical demands of the job, including standing for long periods and demonstrating skiing or snowboarding techniques. This role offers both full-time and part-time opportunities, making it suitable for individuals looking to gain experience in teaching and working in a dynamic outdoor environment. Shifts are primarily on weekdays from 3 pm to 7 pm, with additional weekend shifts available in the morning and afternoon.
