Positions in this function are responsible for the management and manipulation of structured data, with a focus on building business intelligence tools, conducting analysis to distinguish patterns, recognize trends, performing normalization operations and assuring data quality. Creating specifications to bring data into a common structure, creating product specifications and models. Producing and managing the delivery of activity and value analytics to external stakeholders and clients. Ideal candidates generally work self-directed with less structure, focusing on more complex issues and serves as a resource to others. This function is not intended for employees performing the following work: production of standard or self-service operational reporting, casual inference led (healthcare analytics) or data pattern recognition (data science) analysis; and/or image or unstructured data analysis using sophisticated theoretical frameworks. You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.

  • Gather, interpret, and analyze business needs and requirements
  • Create and interpret functional and technical specifications and design documents
  • Partnering with stakeholders to understand data requirements
  • Developing data solutions to support performing analysis, interpreting results, creating actionable insights, and presenting recommendations for use across the company
  • Provides analytical support and expertise when compiling and reporting information
  • Evaluates and presents information in a manner that will facilitate management's understanding of the results and impact
  • Identifies solutions to non-standard requests and problems, solving moderately complex problems and/or conducts moderately complex analyses
  • Works with minimal guidance; seeks guidance on only the most complex tasks
  • Provides explanations and information to others on difficult issues, translating concepts into practice
  • Use business intelligence, data visualization, query, analytic and statistical software to build solutions, perform analysis and interpret data
  • Provides management with statistical findings and conclusions in analyzing interpreting trends and root cause analysis
  • Understand how various data elements and subject areas are utilized for reporting
  • Anticipates operational needs and proactively works with business and team members to find best solutions
  • 3+ years of experience developing in PL/SQL with Oracle or SQL Server and/or Snowflake
  • 3+ years of experience gathering business requirements and analyzing data
  • 3+ years of experience with client relations/customer service
  • 3+ years of experience in the Healthcare Industry - claims processing, coding, provider data, payment systems
  • 2+ years of experience using Microsoft PowerBI Report Builder and/or PowerBI Desktop
  • Proficient with MS Excel (pivots, calculations, v-lookups, macros, etc.)
  • Project Management experience
  • Experience in Snowflake, Azure or Power BI
  • Experience with big data ETL processes and data engineering
  • Proven excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
