Snowflake Administrator $101,504 - $125,868 / year minimum starting pay Job Level: Individual Contributor Location: Columbia, Missouri (On-site, Full-Time) Shelter maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in geographic location, education, training, skills, relevant work experience, business needs and market demands. Please remember that this range is the starting base pay only and does not consider other components that make up the total rewards package for the position. What You Will Be Doing: Responsible for managing and maintaining the Snowflake data platform. Play a critical role in ensuring the availability, performance, and security of our data infrastructure. Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) as a Snowflake Administrator or similar role, with hands-on experience in Snowflake administration, database management, and performance tuning typically required.
  • Strong understanding of Snowflake architecture, storage, virtual warehouses, and data sharing concepts.
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with database management systems (DBMS) and data warehousing.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms, such as AWS or Azure, and experience in deploying and managing Snowflake within a cloud environment.
  • Knowledge of security best practices, including user access control, authentication, encryption, and data privacy regulations.
  • Experience in capacity planning, scaling, and resource management in Snowflake to optimize performance and cost-efficiency.
  • Solid problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve database-related issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams, stakeholders, and vendors.
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced environment, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to perform essential functions of the position, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
