About The Position

The Snow Reporter’s primary responsibility is to provide daily snow conditions and operational messaging to our guests and employees. This includes the creation and distribution of the daily snow and weather report, writing and recording messages and assistance to the social media team. Additionally, the Snow Reporter supports the Marketing Team with internal and external marketing campaigns, strategies, events and general mountain information.

Requirements

  • College degree or equivalent experience in marketing, communications or journalism.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in public relations, communications or media relations.
  • Basic knowledge of online programming, social media and content capture.
  • Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be available to work flexible hours, including very early mornings (5:30AM daily start time) and some weekends/holidays.
  • Strong writing skills mandatory.
  • Intermediate skiing or snowboarding ability.

Nice To Haves

  • Social media proficiency and content creation skills preferred.
  • Knowledge of ski area operations and the resort industry is helpful.
