About The Position

On call, on the move, keeping communities safe all winter long! What you will be doing: As an On-Call Snow Removal Employee, you will be responsible for promptly and efficiently removing snow after a snowfall to ensure the safety of pedestrians and vehicles. You will be on standby during the winter months and called upon as needed to shovel, plow, and salt designated areas. The duties will include: Clear snow from sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, and other assigned areas using shovels, snow blowers, and plows. Apply salt, sand, or other materials to icy surfaces to prevent slipping and accidents. Remain available on-call during specified hours, particularly after snowfalls and during icy conditions. Respond quickly to calls for snow removal, often during early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to stand, walk, and perform manual labor for extended periods. Tolerance to work in cold and adverse weather conditions.

Requirements

• Valid drivers’ license along with good driving record and auto insurance is required
• Must be willing to submit to a background check and drug screen.
• Must be available on notice in event of snow and/or ice.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand, walk, and perform manual labor for extended periods.
• Tolerance to work in cold and adverse weather conditions.
