About The Position

The Snack Bar Manager position at Little Rock AFB, AR, is responsible for overseeing the operations of the snack bar within the Community Services Flight. This role involves managing food and beverage services, ensuring compliance with health regulations, and maintaining budgetary goals. The manager will also be involved in staff training, recruitment, and inventory management, while ensuring a high standard of service is provided to customers.

Requirements

• Experience in restaurant or beverage operation and management aspects of food, beverage, or hospitality services.
• Experience with cash handling and making change when receiving payments.
• Ability to lift or move objects weighing up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to stand and walk continuously and frequently stoop, reach, push, pull, and bend.

Responsibilities

• Manage snack bar operations under the supervision of the Event Center Director.
• Implement directives and make recommendations for improved food and beverage service.
• Develop limited time offers to increase revenue and move product.
• Assist in the development of the annual budget and financial planning.
• Responsible for workforce management, recruitment, and staff training.
• Track labor, food/beverage, and inventory costs to meet budget goals.
• Review and evaluate sources for purchasing supplies and equipment.
• Ensure food and bar cost cards are maintained and updated quarterly.
• Take corrective action when food and beverage costs exceed established goals.
• Monitor public health requirements and ensure compliance with Air Force health and sanitation requirements.
• Prepare and serve a variety of meals by selecting proper ingredients and following recipes.
• Operate cash register, make change, and ensure cash funds accountability.
• Unload stock from delivery trucks and may operate motor vehicles as needed.
