SNACK BAR / COUNTER ATTENDANT Position Title: Snack Bar / Counter Attendant Department: Front of House / Grab & Go Reports To: Shift Lead / General Manager Location: Taste City – Terminal 1 (SFO) Status: Full-Time / Part-Time Classification: Union Position – Unite Here Local 2 Schedule: Must be available weekends & holidays - Must be able to work a schedule starting as early as 4:00 a.m. Hourly wage: $18.34 – $22.34 per hour (based on union wage scale & seniority) Position Summary The Snack Bar / Counter Attendant provides fast, friendly, and accurate service to guests while operating the POS register, preparing grab-and-go items, maintaining product displays, and ensuring a clean and organized front service area. Requirements

  • Previous cashiering or customer service experience preferred
  • Strong communication and multitasking skills
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Basic food safety knowledge preferred
  • Flexible schedule; early morning / late night availability a plus

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers and provide excellent customer service
  • Operate POS cash register; process transactions accurately
  • Prepare and package food and beverage items according to standards
  • Stock product, utensils, condiments, beverages, and supplies
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of counters, equipment, and service areas
  • Assist with dishwashing, trash removal, and stocking when needed
  • Follow all food handling, safety, and sanitation procedures
  • Restock reach-in coolers, shelves, and display cases
  • Communicate clearly with kitchen and management to support service flow
  • Follow company policies, direction, and safety requirements
  • Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with high guest volume
