About The Position

With panoramic views of the D.C. skyline and a legacy of hospitality spanning more than a century, WGCC offers an extraordinary member and guest experience- and we're looking for a Seasonal Snack Bar Attendant to join our team for the upcoming Summer season! The Seasonal Snack Bar Attendant will be responsible to assist running the Champion’s Grill by making food, small prep work, handling orders, running food to tables and bussing tables.

Requirements

  • Experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specifiedDemonstrated polished, professional appearance and presentation
  • Demonstrated organization and coordination skills and ability to meet deadlines and ability to multi-task in a sporadic, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to maintain quality and safety standards
  • Strong reasoning ability and critical thinking skills
  • Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills to a wide variety of constituents
  • Excellent interpersonal/relationship-building skills
  • Proven record of providing excellent internal and external customer service
  • Must be over the age of 16
  • Physical Demands and Work Environment
  • Must be able to stand, walk, squat, kneel, reach, bend, twist, crawl, climb, clean, and lift up to 20 pounds
  • Must be able to handle hot and cold interior and exterior conditions and exposure to dust, fumes and gases
  • Must be able to work in close proximity to moving machinery
  • Independent mobility

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to opening and closing checklists, ensuring a clean, presentable, and well stocked outlet
  • Greet and serve members and guests in a high-volume environment
  • Operate Point of Sale system, accurately sending orders to the kitchen and billing members appropriately
  • Carry food to members and guests as they are seated in the seating area
  • Continually maintain a clean, presentable, and welcoming environment (including sweeping, mopping, and trash removal)
  • Expedite orders from the kitchen and ensure their accuracy
  • Regularly inspect all front- and back-of-the-house service areas and equipment to ensure that sanitation, safety, energy management, preventive maintenance, and other standards of the department are met
  • Responsibly handle the sale and oversight of alcoholic beverages
  • Other duties as assigned
