About The Position

Emerald Technologies has an exciting opportunity for an SMT Machine Operator II (SMT Operator II) to join its Brea, CA team! The SMT Operator II is responsible for the setup, operation, and shutdown of various manufacturing equipment. This role also includes performing basic preventive maintenance and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent.
2–5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of IPC-A-610 standards and component identification.
Ability to follow detailed written instructions and work with hand tools.
Demonstrated ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
Self-motivated with a strong sense of responsibility and teamwork.
Willingness to operate various machines as directed by the supervisor.

Responsibilities

Set up, operate, and shut down assigned equipment according to established procedures.
Perform basic preventive maintenance tasks and maintain accurate maintenance logs.
Ensure products meet quality specifications and production schedules.
Notify the Machine Group Leader of any quality issues or deviations.
Follow proper procedures for handling and disposing of leaded and non-leaded solder (especially for Jade and Wave machines).
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and using appropriate protective equipment.
Assist in conformal coating and other production tasks as required.
