Our products are at the intersection of technology and safety, and we’re in search of an experienced SMT Machine Operator to help us bring the future of traffic safety to life. Surface Mount Technology (SMT) Machine Operators are responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining equipment used in the SMT process of electronic assembly. This role ensures that printed circuit board assemblies meet internal and customer quality standards by strictly following operational procedures and maintaining accurate documentation. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to manufacturing processes, and a commitment to safety and continuous improvement.

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Nice To Haves

SMT Machine operation
Experience in manufacturing or warehouse environments.
Experience utilizing hand tools and/or assembly equipment.
Surface mount, thru-hole, and hand soldering experience
Component ID certification, MT Inspection Certification, IPC-A-610, or equivalent

Responsibilities

Demonstrate the ability to follow directions from management and leads.
Read, interpret, and understand operation sheets (Op Sheets)and production flow documentation.
Proficiently operate SMT line equipment including Screen Printer, Pick-and-Place Machine, Reflow Oven, and Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) Machine.
Perform visual inspection of boards for soldering quality and proper component placement.
Use and navigate Machine Control Software (MCS) and Bar Menu systems.
Perform daily and weekly machine maintenance and documentation log sheets.
Identify and communicate quality trends, recurring defects, or potential issues in a timely manner.
Suggest and submit updates to Op Sheets and documentation when discrepancies or improvements are identified.
Participate in the introduction and ramp-up of new assemblies into production.
Keep work area clean, organized, and free from hazards.
Follow all manufacturing processes, procedures, and safety guidelines.
Maintain reliable attendance and demonstrate a strong work ethic.
