About The Position

As an SMS Operations Associate – CSG Specialized Mortgage Solutions, you will be responsible for providing outstanding service and executing the day-to-day operational functions for SMS Portfolio while ensuring compliance with the Policies and Procedures of Huntington’s Specialized Mortgage Solutions Group (SMS). The SMS Operations Senior Associate requires 3 – 5 years of treasury and/or mortgage operational experience preferably within the mortgage industry; proven communication and collaboration skills and excellent organizational skills. This position reports to Senior Director Sales Support Manager In this role, as an Operations Senior Associate, you will be performing the following responsibilities: Operational Execution: Monitor the SMS inboxes and to take appropriate action of requests Log, review and submit CMA Disposition requests to RSS Team Assist team with creating Etop transactions for internal funds movement requests. Assists individual relationship teams with completing DocuSign for new customers Provide as a backup for Directors when on PTO Help to update new DACA / CMA accounts with proper hold codes in Passport / Hogan Identify opportunities for process improvements within the scope of responsibilities or functional areas Present recommendation resolving more complex situations and exercise some independent judgment while developing understanding of function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements Responsible for contributing to team revenue goals Ability to manage all internal bank systems including but not limited to: Hogan, ESS, Tremolo, Sharepoint, HAWC, CBS, BOL, Docusign, MAX and Workday for efficient ongoing maintenance of customers Identifies and analyzes issues and problems, and resolves discrepancies in a timely manner, escalating when appropriate for situation Performs other duties as assigned Identifies and analyzes issues and problems, and resolves discrepancies in a timely manner, escalating when appropriate for situation May mentor and assist in training less experienced colleagues; participates in projects as assigned Assist Relationship Teams to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, management, internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication, collaboration and problem solving.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant operations experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Bachelor's degree or 3 or more years in specialty finance operations experience is acceptable alternative to a completed bachelor’s degree

Nice To Haves

  • Operational execution experience ideally within the treasury and/or mortgage industry or other specialty finance areas
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills
