About The Position
As a Coffee Shop Barista at Hy-Vee, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service while ensuring the coffee shop operates smoothly. Your primary responsibility will be to review and fill customer orders efficiently, handle food safely, and maintain a clean and organized work area. You will be the face of the coffee shop, providing a friendly and welcoming atmosphere for customers and team members alike. In this role, you will be expected to greet customers with a smile, learn their names, and assist them in finding products or fulfilling their requests. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining the freshness and appearance of food items, preparing and replenishing products as needed, and adhering to strict hygiene and safety guidelines. Your ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment will be essential, as you will need to anticipate product needs, check in deliveries, and operate the cash register. You will also be expected to maintain a clean workspace, remove trash, and assist in other areas of the store as required.
