SME Consultant - Data Center Maintenance
About The Position
SMEs serve as advisors to Interplay and play a key part of our growth by helping us build industry-leading training content to advance the facilities maintenance trade. At this time, we are looking for subject matter experts with the following expertise: Data Center Infrastructure Data Center Safety and Operations Data Center Maintenance Operation, Maintenance, Troubleshooting of CRAC Units You will play a critical role on the Production Team, working with designers & developers to create and review content for skilled trades training. Why this position: Flexible work hours, remote work Use your expertise to make an impact and provide education Collaborative, supportive team What you'll do: Advise internal teams on industry dynamics and best practices Use your expertise to support content development for VR simulations and eLearning videos Advise on malfunctions for simulations Develop and assist in the creation of procedure guides Write and record voiceover scripts and screencasts for videos Generate valid and reliable test questions/knowledge checks Develop fault scenarios Review courses for accuracy Who you are: Extensive knowledge of the following subject matter: - Data Center Infrastructure - Data Center Safety and Operations - Data Center Maintenance - Operation, Maintenance, Troubleshooting of CRAC Units Teaching or training experience is preferred Organized and communicative with the team Desire and ability to collaborate with designers and developers and respond to queries and feedback within 1-2 business days
Requirements
- Extensive knowledge of subject matter
- Systematic approach to troubleshooting
- Research skills
- Teaching, training or mentoring experience is ideal
- Computer skills - G-Suite (Google Docs, Sheets, Slides)
- Camtasia (video tutorial and presentation software), will teach
- Writing skills for knowledge checks and procedure guides
- Availability during business hours to attend scheduled Zoom meetings
Nice To Haves
- Teaching or training experience is preferred
- Organized and communicative with the team
