About The Position

GovCIO is currently hiring for a SME Computer Systems Engineer/Architect with deep expertise in BMC TrueSight Server Automation (TSSA) to provide technical leadership and strategic oversight for enterprise automation initiatives for a mission-critical U.S. Coast Guard program. This position will be located in Kearneysville, WV and will be on-site.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field with 12+ years (or equivalent expertise).
  • Clearance: Active Secret clearance
  • Certifications: DoD 8570 IAT Level II (e.g., Security+ CE, CySA+)
  • BMC TSSA Expertise: 7+ years of hands-on experience with BMC TrueSight Server Automation, including implementation, upgrade, and administration.
  • Scripting: Proficiency in NSH (Network Shell), python, bash, java, and PowerShell scripting for automation and customization.
  • Patch Management: Extensive experience in server patch management for both Windows and Unix/Linux environments using TSSA.
  • Operating Systems: Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux server administration.
  • Troubleshooting: Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills for resolving complex technical issues.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting DoD or U.S. Coast Guard environments
  • Database Knowledge: Familiarity with Oracle or SQL Server databases.
  • Cloud Experience: Experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • DevOps and CI/CD: Understanding of DevOps principles and experience with CI/CD tools

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the technical leader for BMC TSSA architecture, governance, and enterprise automation strategy
  • Define and enforce enterprise-wide standards for automation, compliance, and security across heterogeneous environments
  • Lead large-scale modernization initiatives, including platform transformations and integration with cloud and DevOps ecosystems
  • Provide Tier-3 escalation and strategic guidance for resolving the most complex technical challenges impacting mission-critical systems
  • Architect advanced automation frameworks and enforce best practices for scalability, resilience, and compliance
  • Direct enterprise patch management and compliance enforcement strategies to meet DoD and USCG mandates
  • Influence organizational automation roadmap and ensure seamless integration with CI/CD pipelines and cloud platforms
  • Develop and maintain authoritative documentation for architecture governance, operational standards, and automation frameworks
