DMI, LLC is seeking a Subject Matter Expert in Computer Systems Engineering and Architecture to join us The Subject Matter Expert in Computer Systems Engineering and Architecture is the highest-level technical authority for systems design and integration under the TALON BPA, providing authoritative guidance on complex enterprise architecture decisions spanning on-premises, hybrid, and multi-cloud environments. This individual advises TSA CIO leadership and engineering teams on architecture patterns, technology selection, integration approaches, and risk mitigation strategies for the most complex and high-profile engineering initiatives in TSA’s portfolio. The SME ensures that all engineering architectures are technically sound, operationally resilient, and aligned with DHS and TSA security and performance standards. In this role, the SME in Computer Systems Engineering/Architecture provides technical review and approval authority for major system designs, leads architecture boards and technical working groups, and resolves high-stakes engineering conflicts between project teams, O&M contractors, and TSA stakeholders. The individual applies expertise across the full breadth of TSA’s IT domains—including cloud computing, cybersecurity architecture, data operations, and operational technology—to ensure coherent, integrated engineering outcomes. The SME also provides critical input to the evaluation of emerging technologies, including AI/ML capabilities, for application within the TSA environment.
