About The Position

The Smart PLP operator is responsible for the operations of make-ready, running of the jobs, cleaning up and handling paperwork as required in Finishing. He/She is responsible to minimize the waste and to guarantee the best possible quality for our clients. He/She may be needed to train new employees. The Smart PLP operator has to run the press using his/her skills to ensure quality and consistency in production. He/She needs to check and optimize ink drying with a minimum card distortion following set parameters.

Requirements

• Previous experience in machine operation.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to read, comprehend, and write instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operations of make-ready, running of jobs, cleaning and handling paperwork as required in Finishing.
• Maintenance and up-keep of the Smart PLP press along with screen frame cleanliness after production.
• Run the machine using skills to ensure quality and consistency within production.
• Check and optimize ink drying with minimum card distortion.
• Set up and operate other finishing department machines and produce product within ISO specifications.
• Cross-train within the finishing department to create flexibility within the teams.
• Use various precision equipment and have some experience with computers.
• Meet the company's attendance and tardiness standards.
• Conform to lunch and break schedules, and attend all required company functions.
• Wear all required PPE.
• Comply with all rules of conduct and safety, follow directions, and respect authority.
• Learn new methods and systems.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
