About The Position
Are you ready to be part of a game-changing initiative that’s shaping the future of water management and customer experience? Southern Water is embarking on a bold journey to install Smart Meters across our network — a strategic move that will help us and our customers reduce water abstraction, cut carbon emissions, and improve financial efficiency. But that’s just the beginning. We’re looking for a driven and detail-oriented individual to join our Smart Operations Centre. This role is to cover a period of Maternity Leave and is central to transforming how we engage with customers, identify leakage, and drive down water consumption — all while delivering an exceptional customer experience.
Requirements
- Precision in data entry and validation.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- A passion for customer service and operational excellence.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data processing tools.
- Experience in customer service

Responsibilities
- Accurately process and manage smart meter exchange data.
- Collaborate with internal teams and our Alternative Metering Service (AMS) Partner.
- Support inbound customer queries and ensure smooth, timely resolutions.
- Analyse data to spot trends and drive performance improvements.
- Help shape the future of smart water operations through insight and innovation.
