About The Position

Reporting into the Shop Mechanic the Small Engine Mechanic will ensure that all equipment operates efficiently and safely.

Requirements

  • Thorough knowledge of landscape mowing equipment, to include hydraulics, and small engine equipment, both gas and diesel
  • Graduation from a standard high school and two (2) years’ work experience in the operation, repair, and maintenance of small equipment, both diesel and gasoline type engines and hydraulic equipment, with two (2) years’ experience in the operation, maintenance, and sharpening of mowing equipment preferred
  • Texas Driver's License a plus
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs
  • Must be able to work in inclement weather conditions both hot and cold
  • Willing to work weekends and holidays

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for sharpening all types of mowers
  • Maintenance and repair of fertilizing, mowing, and landscaping equipment
  • Performs preventative maintenance work, such as checking oil and fluid levels on all equipment
  • Maintains inventory records on repairs made, parts ordered, and parts inventory
  • Willing to assist in keeping vehicle records
  • Performs other duties as require
