About The Position

United Ag & Turf is a John Deere Dealership with multiple locations across Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and New Mexico. United Ag & Turf serves customers in a variety of industries such as commercial, construction, agricultural, as well as, consumers. United Ag & Turf strives for exceptional customer experience throughout all our locations and departments including parts, sales, service, and transportation. Purpose As small engine tech you will be required to perform repairs and maintenance on turf equipment, ATV/UTV’s and other small engine equipment. Will require some direction or guidance from the Service Manager.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent experience required.
Valid Driver’s license required.
Ability to use Service Advisor and basic computer functions.
Ability to assemble machinery components and to follow manufacturer’s pre-delivery instructions.
Ability to operate vehicles, tools and equipment used in machinery pre-delivery and set-up process.
Fundamental level of knowledge of engines, hydraulics, power-trans, air-conditioning and electrical systems as they apply to machines marketed by United Ag & Turf.
Employee must provide their own tools that will be necessary to complete assigned jobs.

Nice To Haves

Fork lift certification.

Responsibilities

Performs repairs and maintenance on small engine equipment.
Operates and maintains vehicles, tools and equipment required for the position.
Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion.
Follow all safety rules and regulations require in conjunction with job assignments.
Complete all reports and forms required in conjunction with job assignments.
Accounts for all time and material used in performing assigned duties.
May participate in service training programs required for the development of skills and knowledge.
