About the position

Vector Fleet Management, LLC is seeking a Small Engine Mechanic to join our team in the Ft. Lauderdale, FL area. This position offers a rewarding career with competitive compensation ranging from $37,440 to $49,920 annually, based on an hourly rate of $18 to $24 depending on experience. The role features a steady day shift schedule from 6:30 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday. Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, diagnoses, and repairs on small engines, diesel engines, mowers, and small hand-held equipment such as chainsaws, edgers, weed eaters, and generators.
• Maintain and repair autos and light trucks as needed.
• Utilize a complete set of hand tools and wheeled tool box suitable for daily use.
• Deliver quality service to customers.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 3-5 years hands-on experience as a Small Engine Mechanic.
• Experience with small engines, diesel engines, mowers, and small hand-held equipment.
• Ability to perform preventive maintenance and repairs.
• Complete set of hand tools and wheeled tool box suitable for daily use.
• ASE/Factory Certifications are a huge plus or willingness to achieve certification after hire.
• Trade School Certificates are a plus.
• Willingness and ability to advance technical training.
• Acceptable driving record and ability to pass drug test and background check.
