About The Position
The Small Business Underwriter at UFG is responsible for managing a commercial underwriting territory valued between $6 million and $11 million. This role focuses on achieving premium growth and maintaining acceptable loss ratios through effective risk selection and relationship building with targeted agencies. The underwriter will also mentor team members, approve risks within their authority, and provide training resources.
