Internship Overview This short-term internship is designed to give a high school senior broad exposure to the small business insurance industry. The intern will work alongside our Sales and Operations leadership, gaining firsthand insight into how insurance solutions are sold, serviced, and supported for small business clients. The experience will balance observation, hands-on tasks, and learning-focused projects. Key Learning Objectives • Understand the fundamentals of small business insurance and how it supports business owners • Learn how inside sales teams and service teams work together to support clients • Gain exposure to day-to-day operations, workflows, and cross-functional collaboration • Develop professional skills such as communication, organization, data accuracy, and problem-solving • Explore career pathways within insurance, operations, sales, and analytics Core Internship Activities • Shadow Sales and Operations leaders to understand strategy, decision-making, and priorities • Observe and support inside sales teams and client service teams • Assist with special marketing projects (research, organization, basic analysis, or content support) • Support data clean-up and organization efforts, learning the importance of data accuracy in business operations Cornerstone Project (If Time Allows) To conclude the internship, the student will complete a short Cornerstone Project focused on research, critical thinking, and presentation skills. The project will culminate in a brief written summary or short presentation. Project Topic Options: 1. The Impact of AI on Small Business Insurance • How AI is currently being used in small business insurance • Potential benefits for agents, service teams, and customers • Opportunities and challenges for the future OR 2.
