About The Position

As a Senior Account Manager at Horton, a Marsh McLennan Agency (MMA), you will be part of a team that provides business insurance, employee health & benefits, retirement, and private client insurance solutions. Your role will involve executing client service strategies, managing client relationships, and overseeing the accuracy of information in client portals. You will work closely with Producers and Account Executives to ensure a cohesive client service experience and will be responsible for analyzing risk and recommending insurance options. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple client accounts effectively.

Requirements

  • Producers License for Fire/Casualty or Life/Health upon hire.
  • 3+ years of Account Manager experience within an insurance brokerage or comparable.
  • Experience with strategic planning and implementation of complex accounts.

Nice To Haves

  • BS/BA in Business, Insurance or related field.
  • CPCU, ARM, CEBS or other professional insurance designation.
  • Experience working with agency management systems.
  • Advanced skill level in Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Producer and/or Account Executives to plan, execute, and track customized service strategy for each client.
  • Manage creation of proposals and service plans to support clients in making decisions about insurance programs.
  • Build personalized client relationships through various communication channels.
  • Analyze risk, coverage, and program structure; recommend options and execute changes.
  • Oversee accuracy of information in client portals and consult with clients on access.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure timely service execution.
  • Conduct independent meetings with clients to fulfill service commitments.
  • Communicate with clients regarding insurance, claims, or administrative issues.
  • Negotiate premium, coverage, and terms with underwriters on behalf of clients.
  • Maintain positive relationships with insurance carriers and stay current on industry trends.
  • Accurately maintain client files and documentation in agency management systems.
  • Schedule and facilitate meetings and training for clients and internal teams.
