Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with financial statements and basic accounting principles.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organization.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
  • Interest in credit analysis, commercial lending, or risk management.
  • Ability to remain in a stationary position for up to 75% of an eight (8) hour workday.
  • Ability to review information and details at close range (within a few feet).

Responsibilities

  • Analyze Financial Data: Review financial statements, tax returns, and projections to assess borrower financial health.
  • Evaluate Creditworthiness: Examine credit reports and documentation to measure repayment capacity and overall credit risk.
  • Support Risk Assessment: Apply financial ratios and industry benchmarks to identify trends and make informed recommendations.
  • Document Insights: Summarize findings and prepare credit memos or reports for internal use.
  • Ensure Compliance: Verify that loan files follow internal lending policies and external regulations.
  • Collaborate with Teams: Participate in internal training and contribute to credit discussions and project work.
  • Assist as Needed: Support other tasks related to small business lending operations as assigned.
