The position involves representing the bank in conducting active prospect and customer business development activities with small business clients, specifically those with revenues of less than $5 million. The goal is to generate new deposit, loan, treasury, and other fee income while meeting the needs of the bank's assigned and prospective business customers. The role requires managing relationships with small business banking clients through a consistent process of outreach, nurturing, and growth. Additionally, the position involves establishing a strong referral network with real estate agents, brokers, CPAs, accountants, attorneys, and other Centers of Influence (COIs). The candidate will develop professional relationships with other bank department associates and supplemental business lines to cross-sell and generate appropriate business product and service recommendations. Active collaboration with other lines of business is essential to ensure clients' specific needs are met. Providing quality customer service through problem resolution and maintaining consistent communication with clients via onsite visits and outbound calls is also a key responsibility. The candidate will need to develop and maintain an intimate knowledge of the bank's policies and guidelines for their business line, refer lending opportunities to various bank partners, and participate in civic and community activities to promote the bank's diverse products and services. The role may also involve serving on the CRA Board or committee to help strengthen communities and meet the bank's CRA objectives. Interviewing loan applicants, completing applications, and gathering required documentation to understand the customer's financial picture is also part of the job. Educating borrowers on the business line process and setting expectations is crucial.
