About The Position

The Small Business Banker at City National Bank of Florida is responsible for serving small businesses with annual revenues ranging from $250k to $5 million. This role focuses on providing comprehensive financial solutions, meeting customer needs, promoting and selling bank products, and maintaining superior client relations. The banker is expected to meet or exceed individual and team sales goals while ensuring compliance with bank policies and operational standards.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of recent banking experience as a Small Business Banker II or higher.
  • 2-4 years of strong credit experience, including loan structuring and credit analysis responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to source new sales relationships.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.

  • Interest in coaching/mentoring other Small Business Bankers.
  • Demonstrated interest in further developing leadership skills.
  • Ability to cross-sell products such as Treasury Management, Mortgages, and Asset Under Management.

Responsibilities

  • Meet and exceed assigned individual, team, and revenue goals within a designated market.
  • Develop and maintain a prospect list of potential customers.
  • Participate in networking, outside sales efforts, and cold calling as appropriate.
  • Act as the face of the Bank in the community and take leadership roles as available.
  • Grow the profitability of the small business client base by developing deposit and loan relationships.
  • Prospect and acquire new priority small businesses while retaining and deepening existing relationships.
  • Analyze clients' financial conditions and recommend financial solutions to meet their needs.
  • Open and process all types of accounts, products, and services for clients after consulting on their specific needs.
  • Handle general client inquiries and reconcile client statements.
  • Ensure compliance with the Bank's operational and security policies and procedures.
