About The Position

Americhem International—Pennsylvania’s leading distributor of janitorial supplies, cleaning equipment, industrial packaging, commercial laundry chemicals, office supplies, and bulk chemicals—is seeking an experienced Field Service Technician to join our team. This role is based in our Philadelphia, PA market and is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining commercial cleaning equipment at customer locations. The ideal candidate is reliable, customer-focused, and an excellent communicator. We are looking for someone with a strong service mindset and a commitment to helping Americhem remain our customers’ Partner in Clean. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required (Bachelor’s degree or factory certification preferred)
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to manage workflow efficiently and independently
  • Ability to lift up to 55 pounds
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of general safety requirements

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree or factory certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform on-site diagnostics, testing, and service on customer equipment and circuits
  • Troubleshoot issues and resolve service requests promptly
  • Ensure systems operate efficiently and error-free
  • Maintain positive customer relationships and follow all company service standards
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and complete work orders
  • Provide quotes for repair work and recommend equipment upgrades when appropriate
  • Assist customers with equipment and parts inventory needs
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the service shop
  • Ensure service vehicles are clean, stocked, and maintained
  • Install chemical dispensing systems and related equipment for customer accounts
