About The Position

Maintains, installs, converts and configures gaming devices on assigned shift according to departmental plans and layouts. Participates in a team oriented environment.

Requirements

  • Must have regulatory approved certified technical training on gaming devices as specified by the vendor.
  • High school diploma or G.E.D required.
  • Associates Degree from a College, University; or trade school; or two years related experience and/or training.
  • Must obtain and maintain a New York State certification and St. Regis Mohawk Tribal Gaming Class III Gaming License which requires an extensive background check to be used solely for employment purposes.
  • Failure to disclose required information will result in rescinding the job offer.
  • Successful candidates for employment must submit to and pass a drug test for illegal substances prior to employment being confirmed.
  • In case of a positive result, the candidate is not eligible for employment with the Akwesasne Mohawk Casino Resort.
  • Employment will not begin until process is complete.

Responsibilities

  • Required to learn and utilize Apple iPods with accompanying software known as Kai to assure a high quality of guest service.
  • Exhibits a friendly, helpful and courteous manner when dealing with guests and fellow associates
  • May performs paper refills and clear jams, bill retrievals, bv jams on machines and/or follows through if more in-depth repair is needed.
  • Handle guest transactions, such as cash and pay-outs and other transactions as required.
  • Must have understanding of Basic Electronics and Electricity.
  • Must have basic understanding of Electronic and Electrical troubleshooting.
  • Ability to reading and translate wiring diagrams.
  • Responsible for set up of game options and test various devices, E.G. Bill Acceptors.
  • Tools and experience using tools is required.
  • Perform Pay tables and Reel Strip Test and verify Bonus awards.
  • Case by case analysis, trouble shooting in interpretive situations of technical performance of gaming devices.
  • Basic Knowledge of Player Tracking components.
  • Performs daily or as scheduled, preventative maintenance on gaming devices.
  • Installs, builds conversion (game kits) and reconfigures pre-planned floor layout.
  • Safeguards all assigned assets upon install, build, conversion (game kits) or reconfiguration.
  • Uses approved electronic test equipment when repairing or maintaining gaming devices.
  • Responsible for accurate wiring, game chips, game boards, optioning of games, safety and security of all electrical components.
  • Maintains confidentially of game optioning as they relate to par levels and hold percentages.
  • Must wear assigned safety approved clothing and equipment during the build (game conversion), move, install and maintenance of gaming devices.
  • Knows and complies with the gaming compact, and any other regulatory requirements necessary.
  • Must be willing to work varied shifts as required by Operational needs.
  • Other duties as necessary to improve operational direction.
