About The Position

The Slot Technician is responsible for installation, moving, removal, repair, maintenance and conversion of machines. Will work as a Slot Shift Supervisor in their absence.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D., customer service experience and Slot Attendant/Tech experience required.
  • Ability to lead and motivate team members, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills to resolve issues with guests and staff.
  • Ability to read, comprehend and interpret complex written and oral instructions.
  • Skilled in the use of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and basic office skills.
  • Ability to read, comprehend and interpret complex written and oral instructions.
  • Knowledge of troubleshooting methods for assessing machines and equipment.
  • Ability to accurately count currency.
  • Ability to remain calm in emergencies or stressful situations.
  • Ability to sustain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Required to obtain and maintain a Seneca Cayuga tribal gaming license and a state issued I.D.
  • All applicants must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening prior to beginning employment.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Position requires the ability to lift up to 70-100 lbs., climb, bend or kneel for extended periods.
  • May be required to walk or stand for entire shifts.
  • Must be able to work in a casino environment which includes high levels of smoke, dust, noise, and bright flashing lights.
  • Position requires flexibility to work any shift including weekends and holidays.
  • Must be able to operate scissor lift.
  • You must be able to pass a drug screen with negative results.
  • Employees are expected to know existing Grand Lake Casino policies and know to refer to those policies when necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures that workflow processes are followed and that tasks are completed on time.
  • Creating and managing shift schedules for department employees.
  • Training new employees on departmental processes, procedures, and safety protocols.
  • Monitoring the quality of work and output produced by the department.
  • Ensuring that all safety regulations and protocols are followed.
  • Facilitating communication between team members and other departments.
  • Addressing and resolving issues or conflicts that may arise during the shift.
  • Managing resources, such as equipment, materials, and supplies, to support departmental activities.
  • Tracking and assessing the performance of individual team members.
  • Ensuring that guest service standards are met or exceeded.
