About The Position

The Slot Technician Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating the daily operations of the slot technical team, ensuring that all slot machines and related systems are maintained in proper working order. This position oversees slot installations, repairs, preventive maintenance, and compliance with gaming regulations. The Slot Technician Supervisor provides leadership, training, and technical support to slot technicians while ensuring a safe and efficient gaming environment for guests and staff.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience as a slot technician.
  • At least 1–2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
  • Strong knowledge of slot machine hardware, software, networking, and player tracking systems.
  • Ability to read schematics, troubleshoot electronics, and use diagnostic tools.
  • Working knowledge of slot management systems (e.g., IGT Advantage, Bally SDS, Aristocrat Oasis, etc.).
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities in a 24/7 operation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid gaming license through the Gaming Commission.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform work requiring bending, standing, and manual dexterity.

  • Technical certification or associate degree in electronics, computer technology, or related field.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, schedule, and direct the daily activities of slot technicians to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Oversee the installation, conversion, removal, and relocation of slot machines and related equipment.
  • Ensure all slot machines are functioning properly and that repairs are completed promptly and accurately.
  • Perform and monitor preventive maintenance programs for all slot equipment to minimize downtime.
  • Maintain accurate records of slot machine maintenance, parts usage, conversions, and regulatory logs.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable tribal, state, and federal gaming regulations.
  • Coordinate with Slot Operations, Cage/Vault, and IT departments on slot system issues, upgrades, and reporting.
  • Provide technical training and mentorship to slot technicians to promote skill development and career growth.
  • Assist with slot system audits, jackpot verification, and machine performance reviews.
  • Ensure all slot technical work areas are clean, secure, and properly organized.
  • Respond to slot machine malfunctions or player issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain an inventory of slot parts, tools, and supplies, and ensure proper ordering as needed.
  • Assist in developing and enforcing departmental policies and procedures.
  • Provide input on staffing needs, performance evaluations, and corrective actions when necessary.
