Overview The Slot Technician I is responsible for performing a wide variety of diagnoses and repairs of slot machines, with infrequent assistance; possesses extensive knowledge of both mechanical and electronic aspects of slot machine repair; provides training or assistance to lesser experienced technicians. Responsibilities ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (These functions are intended as a general illustration of the work performed in this job classification and are not all inclusive for this position) The Slot Technician I will analyze and respond to a variety of customer service related issues. Technicians are responsible for the repair and maintenance of component level electronic circuitry in gaming devices. Responsible for the installation and removal of gaming devices. Day to day preventative maintenance; troubleshoots ticket-in ticket-out and coin machines; performs hopper tests; clears coin jams and bill validator jams. Assists in game conversions and firmware upgrades. Investigates and verifies any ticket issues. Maintains inventory of supplies needed to perform job function. Maintains and calibrates currency validators, executes machine moves, game conversions, installations, and floor upgrade of current ticket-in ticket out products. Responsible to investigate device malfunctions of various gaming devices and clears coin bill and coin jams. Performs the day to day repair and preventative maintenance of all slot machines. Performs other duties as deemed necessary by Management. Perform work regularly, predictably and in a professional manner. Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing work and public spaces. Perform work regularly and adheres to all Virginia Lottery Regulations. NON-ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Attend seminars when needed.
