About The Position

The Slot Technician I is responsible for performing standard procedures to repair and maintain slot and kiosk machines both on and off the gaming floor. This role ensures optimal operation of gaming machines by applying basic technical skills and adhering to gaming regulations and internal policies.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED Certificate.
  • Associate's Degree in Technology or equivalent work experience.
  • Prior experience in the gaming industry is preferred.
  • Must successfully complete basic electronics or related course within six months of employment.
  • Basic knowledge and experience in the function, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of electronic devices preferred.
  • Basic electrical and mechanical skills preferred.
  • Basic computer proficiency utilizing Microsoft applications, email, and internet.
  • Willingness to work flexible schedules in a 24/7 work environment, including holidays, nights, and weekends.
  • Must apply for, receive, and maintain a Gaming License from the Tribal Gaming Agency.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates with gaming floor Team Members to identify malfunctioning machines that require service.
  • Performs standard procedures for slot and kiosk maintenance, including clearing jams and resetting bill acceptors and cash boxes.
  • Tests and replaces buttons, switches, and lamps.
  • Replaces cabinet lamps, starters, ballasts, and glass.
  • Replaces bill acceptors and printers.
  • Calibrates and tests touch screens.
  • Conducts money tests on machines.
  • Clears general reel tilts.
  • Completes applicable paperwork, logs, and reports accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Performs preventive maintenance and cleaning of gaming machines.
  • Adheres to established rules, regulations, policies, and procedures regarding slot technical responsibilities.
  • Upholds a work environment that promotes teamwork and collaboration.
