About The Position

The Slot Attendant/Host creates an entertainment environment for all guests, as well as provides courteous and prompt change, jackpot, ticket fill and minor machine repair service.

Requirements

  • Must possess strong money handling and documentation skills.
  • Must have knowledge of casino rules, procedures and regulations pertaining to Slot Operations.
  • Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team across departments and levels of management and follow instructions
  • Must maintain an upbeat and positive attitude
  • Have a basic knowledge of computer operating systems and navigation ability.
  • Have a basic knowledge of other games and services offered at the casino.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
  • Must present a well-groomed appearance.
  • Must demonstrate attention to detail
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred

  • Prior casino experience is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provides courteous and prompt change, jackpot, ticket fill and minor machine repair service
  • Proactive in anticipating customer needs by continually searching for lights and customers in need of service.
  • Document transactions including jackpots, ticket fills, machine entries and machine repairs.
  • Fill ticket printers and provide minor machine repairs as necessary.
  • Monitor handheld devices used for dispatch to guest request/SP
  • Knowledge of department policies and procedures including those pertaining to Federal and Regulatory laws and guidelines.
  • Routinely strives to build and maintain rapport with customers by handling disputes and making every effort to achieve customer satisfaction.
  • Exercises appropriate discretion in identifying situations that require management attention.
  • Ability to handle & secure keys within department guidelines.
  • Knowledge and communication of special promotions to customers.
  • Coordinates with Casino Operations Supervisors and Security to detect and prevent attempts to cheat or damage gaming equipment and to identify floor irregularities to a Games Supervisor, Lead Slot Attendant/Host or Casino Manager.
  • Adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies.
  • Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies.
  • Acts as a role model to other employees and always presents oneself as a credit to Harrah’s and encourages others to do the same.
  • Other duties as assigned.
