About The Position

The Slot Attendant/Host creates an entertainment environment for all guests, as well as provides courteous and prompt change, jackpot, ticket fill and minor machine repair service.

Must possess strong money handling and documentation skills.
Must have knowledge of casino rules, procedures and regulations pertaining to Slot Operations.
Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team across departments and levels of management and follow instructions
Must maintain an upbeat and positive attitude
Have a basic knowledge of computer operating systems and navigation ability.
Have a basic knowledge of other games and services offered at the casino.
Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
Must present a well-groomed appearance.
Must demonstrate attention to detail
High School Diploma or GED preferred

Nice To Haves

Prior casino experience is preferred

Responsibilities

Provides courteous and prompt change, jackpot, ticket fill and minor machine repair service
Proactive in anticipating customer needs by continually searching for lights and customers in need of service.
Document transactions including jackpots, ticket fills, machine entries and machine repairs.
Fill ticket printers and provide minor machine repairs as necessary.
Monitor handheld devices used for dispatch to guest request/SP
Knowledge of department policies and procedures including those pertaining to Federal and Regulatory laws and guidelines.
Routinely strives to build and maintain rapport with customers by handling disputes and making every effort to achieve customer satisfaction.
Exercises appropriate discretion in identifying situations that require management attention.
Ability to handle & secure keys within department guidelines.
Knowledge and communication of special promotions to customers.
Coordinates with Casino Operations Supervisors and Security to detect and prevent attempts to cheat or damage gaming equipment and to identify floor irregularities to a Games Supervisor, Lead Slot Attendant/Host or Casino Manager.
Adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies.
Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies.
Acts as a role model to other employees and always presents oneself as a credit to Harrah’s and encourages others to do the same.
Other duties as assigned.
