About The Position
The Slot Attendant is responsible for the minor maintenance of slot machines and ensuring a smooth gaming experience for guests at the Agua Caliente Casino. This part-time position requires the attendant to be assigned a pouch bank during their shift, which is used for making change for guests and processing small handpays. The Slot Attendant plays a crucial role in providing excellent customer service, explaining the various games available in the casino, and ensuring compliance with the Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Program and its regulations. This includes adhering to Title 31 Cash Transactions, Suspicious Activity Reporting, and Customer Identification requirements. In addition to customer service, the Slot Attendant is responsible for accurately processing slot jackpot payouts and handpays according to the approved system of internal controls. Maintaining a clean and orderly working environment is essential, as is replenishing slot machines with ticket paper as needed. The attendant must also check for any fraudulent activity on the slot machines, retrieve cash or tickets that may be stuck, and generate manual slot or handpay tickets when necessary. This position requires a keen attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The working conditions for this role include being able to stand, move, and work throughout the casino, which may involve walking up to a mile, climbing stairs, and sitting at a desk or workstation for the duration of the shift. The environment can be smoke-filled and noisy, especially when located in the casino area. Physical demands include the ability to grasp, bend, lift, and carry goods weighing a minimum of 25 lbs intermittently, as well as sufficient dexterity to use office equipment such as a computer keyboard and multi-line telephone.
