About The Position

The Slots Assistant Shift Manager oversees day to day operations of assigned shift and is directly responsible for the coordination of Slot Lead Ambassadors and Slot Ambassadors for the best slot floor coverage. Duties include scheduling and staffing respective shift, responding to jackpot payments, minor machine repairs, and kiosk shortages, and promoting Rewards Card sign-ups. Responsible for properly implementing all Title 31 procedures and safeguarding the company's assets. Responsibilities must be performed in accordance with all Company standards, policies, and procedures.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must have at least two (2) years of experience as a Slot Supervisor or equivalent position.
  • Demonstrate the ability to coach, develop, counsel and discipline subordinates.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members and management in both written and verbal form.
  • Ability to multi-task while still maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Proficiency with money handling and possess applicable mathematical skills.
  • Computer proficiency including ability to use Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Thorough understanding of Title 31 requirements, including, but not limited to, all unacceptable currency transactions, logging requirements, MTLs and CTRCs.
  • Ability to understand and follow all Responsible Gaming Guidelines such as self-limiting requests and ID verification.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must be able to obtain UAIC Tribal Gaming License.

Responsibilities

  • Practice, support, and promote Thunder Valley Casino Resort's 'ELITE' company-wide service mission and demonstrate AAA Four Diamond service standards at all times.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of Thunder Valley Casino Resort's philosophies and ability to implement them.
  • Administer Slot Department policies and provide constructive feedback to Slot Department Management.
  • Comply with signatory controls including jackpot tickets, paid in/out slips, and sign-out logs.
  • Efficiently process all requests for overrides on jackpots and fills.
  • Communicate in a clear, friendly and positive manner with internal and external Guests.
  • Provide long term direction and goals to Slot Team Members.
  • Supervise, counsel and discipline the performance of all subordinate Team Members.
  • Maintain high morale through support, appreciation, and development of Team Members.
  • Maintain positive and effective working relationships with other Team Members, management, Guests and other departments.
  • Conduct pre-shift meetings to provide Team Members with direct, accurate, and useful information on upcoming events or policy changes.
  • Respond to Guest opportunities in a positive and professional manner.
  • Maintain awareness of all Guest and Team Member activities on casino floor.
  • Coordinate with Security and Surveillance departments to detect and prevent individuals attempting to cheat, damage, or steal from any gaming device.
  • Actively control labor costs to maintain budget standards.
  • Display knowledge of required functions of subordinate positions with an ability to perform those functions.
  • Keep work area neat, clean, and safe.
  • Display an understanding and awareness of the Thunder Rewards program.
  • Maintain awareness of all upcoming events and promotions.
