About The Position

Role Overview: Unpack Your Potential As a Slitter Operator, you will support production operations to optimize output, minimize waste, and maintain high standards of quality and safety. You will assist in manufacturing products to customer specifications while developing technical knowledge, improving productivity through teamwork, and maintaining a safe, clean, and orderly work environment. Assist in maintaining machines and auxiliary equipment. Perform all functions including operation of slitter, product inspection, area clean up, quality testing requirements, etc Communicate within the group to insure co-workers are kept up to date with what occurred during the shift. Must be able to anticipate things that will come up after shift change and communicate all shift activities verbally and through documenting in shift logs. Set up and operate line to meet product requirements. Record machine and process conditions. Perform and document quality checks. Operate machine to achieve and exceed standard scrap and efficiencies What we want from you: Lead the Pack Preferred qualifications: High school diploma or GED, Associates Degree and/or industrial certification preferred Solid verbal and written communication skills Mechanic aptitude Good troubleshooting and problem solving skills are essential Demonstrates organizational skills Read dimensional graphic templates in both metric/standard and apply to finished product Basic computer skills Physical Requirements Extended periods of standing and walking in the production facility, and some occasional lifting of heavy items, i.e. cores or shafts. Ability to lift 55+ pounds on a frequent basis. Other physical demands include crouching and reaching. Use of ladders and elevated walkways required. Why Amcor?
