The Slitter Operator will be responsible for the set up and operation of their machine and to ensure a quality product in a safe manner.. This role is located in Alliance, OH and will be fully on-site. Starting Pay: $24.49 per hour Schedule: 3rd Shift 10:00pm-6:30am Pay Schedule: Weekly

Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds required.
  • The ability to sit and stand for no specific time requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.
  • Minimum one-year manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Must wear all required PPE.
  • Install, unwind, and rewind arbors per the work order specifications.
  • Set up machine using tooling sizes and clearances that will meet work order/customer specifications.
  • Inspect tooling before installing for any scratches, abrasions, or other defects.
  • Set up guide rollers (if applicable) to ensure material will wind up straight without defects.
  • Inspect material before loading for any damage or defects.
  • After metal is fed through the machine a sample needs taken to check gauge, width, camber, and any other special specifications required by the customer.
  • Watch the machine while running to ensure safe operations.
  • Make necessary operating adjustments while running to ensure a quality product.
  • Inspect material after running to make sure nothing has changed.
  • Complete all inspection sheets and quality checks required in the work order.
  • Complete all remaining paperwork.
  • Tag all restocks, finished goods, or hold material for traceability.
  • When order is completed, all tooling taken out needs to be cleaned before returning.
  • Pre-pack material for shipping.
  • General housekeeping duties; sweeping the floors, trash disposal.
  • All other duties assigned.
