JOB SUMMARY: The night shift Slitter Operator at First American Resources plays a crucial role in the manufacturing process by operating and setting up the slitter machine. This position involves ensuring the quality of the slit products and properly labeling and identifying all materials. POSITION HOURS: Monday through Thursday from 8:30PM to 7AM, with additional hours on Fridays as needed based on production requirements.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a slitter environment.
  • Strong analytical and reading skills.
  • Proficiency in using micrometers and calipers.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain a positive presence in the workplace.

Responsibilities

  • Review scheduled orders with supervisor to determine production priorities.
  • Set up the slitter according to the required slit width specifications.
  • Verify slit widths using calipers to ensure accuracy.
  • Organize and maintain tooling, spacing materials, and slitter knives appropriately.
  • Assist in training new Associates.
  • Participate in safety and other training programs as necessary.
  • Carry out other duties and special projects assigned by supervisors.
