About The Position

As an operator assistant, your main responsibility is to safely inspect material
for defects, operate equipment including banding equipment to assist in
packaging materials and prepare for shipment to our customers. In this role, you
will have exposure to our finished goods and learn more about our customers and
end product.

Requirements

• Ability to use tape measure, micrometers, and calipers.
• Ability to comply with safety rules and requirements.
• Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist operators in the set-up of the Slitter.
• Maintain production standards.
• Communicate non-compliance material or problems to machine operator.
• Record data
• Safely handle material without damage
• Assist in packaging material to meet customer specifications per customer supplied information and standard packaging instructions.
• Clean machine area or any other assigned area
• Pneumatic tools
