About The Position

Carlisle Weatherproofing Technologies (CWT) is a leading building envelope
solution supplier that effectively drives energy efficiency and sustainability
in commercial and residential applications. We are seeking a Slitter Operator in
our Petrolia Henry Plant.

This position is a unionized role within our production team. As a Slitter
Operator, you will be required to learn, understand, and put into practice all
of our policies and procedures to help manufacture the highest quality products
in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will routinely perform your
duties with minimal supervision, independently, and in a team with another
operator. You must be able to work in an environment with many distractions,
maintaining a high level of accuracy and safety, while performing your duties.
No travel is required for this position.

Requirements

• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail
• Working knowledge of safety standards WHMIS
• Ability to work rotating shifts
• Ability to work independently without supervision and meet tight deadlines.
• Ability to uphold confidentiality
• Ability to work overtime to meet customer requirements
• High School Diploma required or equivalent.
• Two to Three Years of Manufacturing experience

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with manufacturing machines is an asset

Responsibilities

• Operate slitting/packaging cell to cut, package, and label various rolled roofing products
• Provide support to maintenance team members to help troubleshoot machine issues and make improvements (optimization) within the department.
• Demonstrate a sense of urgency in achieving results
• Perform daily walks around your work area to ensure guards and safety devices are in place
• Perform checks on safety equipment and record results as part of an ongoing safety program
• Perform checks to validate the acceptability of product packaging and product counts
• Perform other duties as required
• Perform any other duties as assigned by Team Leader
