As a key contributor to our production team, you will be responsible for making and inspecting arbor and overarm set-ups to ensure compliance with production instructions. Your role will involve reconciling coil identity to production and loading coils, as well as threading coils through the slitter head and cropping any non-complying material. You will also be tasked with threading mults into the recoiler and maintaining production and quality standards by measuring and verifying before, during, and after processing. Additionally, you will check and record gauge width, hardness, camber, burr, and surface condition, set the gauge monitoring system (if applicable), and ensure gauge calibration. Adjustments to machine setup may be necessary to correct defects throughout the slitting process, and you will communicate any non-compliance in production to your supervisor or shift lead. Your responsibilities will also include banding, securing, and identifying slit mults, completing production documentation, assisting maintenance in troubleshooting malfunctions or completing preventative maintenance, removing scrap from the machine, and cleaning the slitter and surrounding area.
