About The Position

Atlas Tube, a division of Zekelman Industries, is seeking a Slitter Entry Operator for our facility in Blytheville, AR. Reporting to the Production Supervisor and Slitter Lead, the Slitter Entry Operator is responsible for performing tasks necessary for the production of slit coils that meet mill requirements. This role is ideal for individuals with mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Mechanical experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Basic computer knowledge, including SAP.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to use handheld measuring equipment (micrometers, calipers, etc.).
• Licensed to operate overhead cranes.
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
• Strong attention to detail, dependability, and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Performs daily crane and hi-lo inspections and reports any deficiencies.
• Operates overhead cranes and hi-los as required.
• Operates entry equipment safely and efficiently.
• Assists in slitter changeovers to maintain production flow.
• Removes scrap material as needed.
• Completes all required paperwork accurately and timely.
• Follows verbal and written instructions from supervisors and leads.
• Reports any irregularities or malfunctions to management and/or maintenance.
• Adheres to workplace safety practices as outlined in company policy.
• Maintains regular, full-time, predictable onsite attendance per the posted schedule.
• Performs other duties as assigned by management.
