About The Position

Are you ready to dive into the fascinating world of sleep medicine? If you're passionate about helping people improve their sleep and want to gain hands-on experience in a busy Sleep Center, this is the perfect opportunity for you! As a Sleep Tech Trainee, you’ll receive expert training while working closely with our skilled team of Registered Sleep Technologists and Board-Certified Sleep Medicine Physicians. You’ll be conducting overnight polysomnograms and other advanced sleep studies—helping our patients get the rest they need while learning from the best in the field.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED.
• Must maintain current BCLS certification for continued employment.
• Must be enrolled in or have completed the A-STEP Online Self-Study Modules.
• Stellar verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in basic computer knowledge.

Nice To Haves

• RPSGT/RST eligible, CNA, PCT/A, RMA, CMA, NRCMA, or any other BRPT-accepted Allied Health credential.
• One or more years of clinical experience with direct patient care.
• Previous experience with sleep data collection, CPAP titration, scoring, and stage recognition.
• MSLT and MWT experience.

Responsibilities

• Train and work under medical supervision for up to 1638 hours, performing overnight polysomnograms and other complex sleep-related procedures.
• Be an integral part of our busy Sleep Center, closely collaborating with seasoned professionals in sleep medicine.
• Get hands-on experience with sleep data collection, CPAP titration, and scoring.
• Learn the ins and outs of sleep staging and data analysis while making a real difference in patients' lives.
