About The Position
The Sleep Technician position involves preparing for and conducting overnight sleep studies at our facility located at 107 W Way St, Lake Jackson, TX. The technician will be responsible for reviewing patient records, examining orders and protocols for the study, and recognizing chief complaints. This role requires interviewing patients to assess their current medications, recent alcohol or caffeine ingestion, current sleep patterns, and the need for treatment intervention during the study. The technician will monitor the polysomnogram throughout the patient study, ensuring adherence to safety, sanitation, and equipment maintenance procedures. Additionally, the technician will promote individual growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory and continuing education, as well as skills competency. Ensuring the safety and welfare of patients, staff, and visitors is paramount, and the technician must adhere to all policies, procedures, and standards of the lab. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
