Dr. William Dement, often called the “father of sleep medicine”, founded the Stanford Sleep Disorders Clinic and Research Center in 1970, the world’s first accredited sleep center, pioneering the field of sleep disorders and establishing Stanford as a leading institution for sleep research. Be Part of a Tight Knit Team: Our clinic is tight knit, collaborative and supportive as they provide top tier care for patients. The Stanford Sleep Disorders Clinic allows staff to feel supported in and outside of their role. Opportunities to Grow: Sleep technologists have access to: o Conferences such as the APSS Annual Meeting 2026 in Baltimore, MD and the California Sleep Society 2026 meeting in Sonoma, CA o Various elective educational courses offered through our HealthStream Catalog Shift / Schedule: This is a full-time shift for either days or nights, both of which are 12-hr shifts. The Stanford Sleep Disorders Clinic operates 6 nights a week, Sunday through Friday. This is a Stanford Health Care job. A Brief Overview The Sleep Technologist II is responsible for laboratory set-up, patient hook-ups and performing and evaluating overnight polysomnograms. Operate sophisticated medical equipment to record sleep and wake physiology. Work as a team member to perform any and all of the tasks required of each shift. Task sequence, methods, and procedures are set according to international standards guidelines and standards, and Sleep Clinic policy and procedures. Maintain a schedule which includes either day, evening or night shifts. Locations Stanford Health Care
