A Polysomnographic Technician Apprentice develops competency in and performs basic sleep testing and associated interventions, under the direct supervision of a sleep technologist (RPSGT or RST or SDS). Provides education and support to patients and families regarding sleep testing and sleep disorders treatment. Collaborate with physicians, patients, and families in the delivery of services and management of respiratory and sleep disorders in the Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine Department. Liaison & point of contact for a patient with pulmonary and sleep disorders on education, issues, problems, & treatments. The sleep technician apprentice will work closely with experienced professionals to acquire the necessary skills and knowledge to become a fully qualified sleep technician.
