Requirements
- Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPGST), or Respiratory Therapist (RT/RRT) with SDS certification within 1 year.
- BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
Responsibilities
- Polysomnography Technologists perform sleep studies, calibrate, and maintain equipment, and educate patients, families and other care providers.
- Technologists work under the supervision of the Sleep Lab Manager and Medical Director and are responsible for performing patient care activities and other tasks that contribute to high-quality, safe, and effective patient care.
