Get to Know Your Team: Hillcrest Medical Center, the flagship hospital of Hillcrest Health-Care System, is a 620-bed hospital among Oklahoma's most widely respected and acclaimed hospitals, offering extraordinary care and a multitude of services in many areas including Oklahoma's largest dedicated heart hospital. A Polysomnographic Technologist - works under the general supervision of the clinical director (M.D., D.O., or PhD) or designee to provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders. This may involve polysomnography, diagnostic and therapeutic services or patient care and education. A Polysomnographic Technologist may provide supervision of other staff.

Requirements

  • 2 years of job-related experience.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Registered RPSGT - BRPT Sleep Tech. Should the incumbent allow his/her RPSGT license to lapse, he/she must regain RPSGT status in good standing within 6 months of lapse date. Failure to obtain registration will lead to termination.
  • BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
  • Must be proficient with CPAP and BiPap machines.
  • Must be capable of properly fitting patients for masks.
  • Knowledgeable of Oxygen safety.
  • Must be knowledgeable of current testing guidelines.
